A doctor who appeared on one episode of the Bravo series “Online Dating Rituals of the American Male” was arrested and charged with drugging and raping two women but authorities believe there could be over a thousand of additional victims.
Dr. Grant William Robicheaux and his girlfriend, Cerissa Laura Riley, were both charged over two alleged attacks that took place in 2016. According to Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas, photos and videos found on the defendants’ phones have led authorities to believe there could be 1,000 more victims.
The Orange County D.A. claims Robicheaux and Riley met a woman at a restaurant in Newport Beach in April 2016. They allegedly invited her to a party and then, once she was intoxicated, brought her back to Robicheaux’s apartment. The woman then was allegedly given “multiple drugs” and then raped.
The next day, the woman went to the Newport Beach Police Department and underwent a forensic exam. She tested positive for multiple controlled substances.
In October 2016, Robicheaux and Riley allegedly met another woman at a bar and got her drunk until she was no longer conscious. They allegedly brought her back to Robicheaux’s apartment with the intent to commit rape. She woke up and allegedly began screaming, which prompted a neighbor to call police.
Robicheaux and Riley were also hit with drugs and weapon charges.
The duo is scheduled to be arraigned on October 25 at Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach.
Robicheaux appeared on just one episode of “Online Dating Rituals of the American Male” which aired for just six episodes on Bravo back in 2014.
