Ariana Grande is finally speaking out about Mac Miller‘s death, reflecting on their relationship and posting a touching tribute video.
Sharing a short clip showing the two of them laughing (presumably when they were dating) Grande praised the late rapper.
“I adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will,” she wrote. “i can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. i really can’t wrap my head around it. we talked about this.”
Saying she’s “mad” and “sad,” she apologizes for not being able to fix Miller’s substance abuse issues.
“i’m so sorry i couldn’t fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to,” Grande wrote. “the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved.”
Ending her heart-wrenching tribute, she says, “i hope you’re okay now. rest.”
This is the second time Grande has posted something since Miller’s death, sharing only a photo without a caption the day after he passed. She originally disabled her comments when the news broke because people were blaming the “Sweetener” singer for his death.
As The Blast reported, his death is currently being investigated and hinges on the toxicology report
