G Herbo also rates his own lyrical prowess, in the latest "Rate The Bars" segment.
G Herbo was the latest emcee to blindly attribute peer reviews on BET's Rate The Bars. The segment kicked off with a chance offering of Blac Youngsta's "Hip Hopper," lyrics he recognized right away. Blac Youngsta who is more noted for his likability than his lyrical prowess still bagged himself a perfect score, with Herbo particularly connecting with the sentiment of "not remembering someone's face," out of plain indifference. GLC also scored a 5 on the basis of his wordplay for "Flight School."
Wifisfuneral also scored a 5, with G Herbo confusing his throwback delivery for a different era of song, deception complete. The tipping of the scale begins at Shawnna who scored lower at 4, but Herbo was never-the-less wowed by her "freak factor." When Shawnna was revealed as the emcee of the mystery bars, Herbo uttered a familiar sigh of resignation. In his experiences in the dating pool, Chicago women are known for sexual forthrightness, the kind Shawnna had portrayed on "What's Your Fantasy" remix.
Most of the lyrics presented were tied to his hometown of Chicago. Twista's "60 Seconds Assassin" made the rounds, as was Valee and childhood friend Lil Bibby. The invisible panel even asked him to rate his own song "I Like," and true to form G Herbo dispensed yet another 5 bar rating. Check out his anecdotes in the full segment (below).
