Howard Stern Wack Packer ‘Evil Dave Letterman’ Dead at 63

One of the most memorable characters from Howard Stern‘s stable of oddities has died, and his family hints he may have been battling cancer.
63-year-old David VanDam, known as Evil Dave Letterman, died July 3, according to an obituary in the Chicago Tribune.
His family did not provide a cause of death, but said asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
Evil Dave became a hit on the Howard Stern Show thanks to his voice’s amazing likeness to the legendary late night host, Dave Letterman.
However, unlike the real Letterman, Evil Dave was known for vulgar and crude prank phone calls while pretending to be the famous Dave.
The passing of Evil Dave was also announced by fellow Wack Packer, Mariann From Brooklyn.  Stern has not addressed the loss yet, as he was on a break for the 4th of July Holiday.
When Stern returns, he will no doubt pay homage to the latest Wack Packer to tragically leave the airwaves.
Evil Dave’s funeral be held Saturday in Skokie, IL.
